WELCOME TO ASSABET

Welcome to the home of the Assabet Valley Patriots.  For the 2010-2011 season, each of our Assabet teams will skate in the New England Hockey League, Mites - Bantams.  All practices and home games are at Valley Sports on Route 62 in Concord, MA.

Beginning in November Assabet will offer a Mini Patriots program geared towards teaching our youngest players the fundamental hockey skills needed to play competitive hockey.  Please continue to check back on this website for registration information as it becomes available.

ASSABET ALUM PLAYS FOR TEAM USA's U17!!

Teddy Doherty ’94 from Hopkinton, MA recently competed with Team USA’s U17 select hockey team at the Five Nations Tournament in Huttwil, Switzerland.  Doherty, one of only six defenseman selected by USA Hockey to represent the United States at this international tournament, is an alum of the Assabet hockey program where he was a standout defenseman on the 1994 team throughout his youth hockey career.  Prior to his selection to the national U17 team, Teddy participated in the USA Hockey national development camp in Rochester, NY,  impressing members of the national selection committee and emerging as one of the top rated ’94 defenseman at camp.  Team USA finished first at the Five Nations Tournament with a 3-1 record; the tournament included teams from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany.   Doherty was the leading scorer among Team USA defensemen with 1G, 3A and second in scoring among all defensemen in the tournament.  Doherty will return to Shattuck-St. Mary’s where he is entering his junior year.

If your child did not play for the Assabet Patriots for the 2009-2010 season, we need a financial release form on file before your player can be put on a roster.  Please print out this form and have it signed by your previous program and mail or fax to my office.
